Lil Durk has announced his highly anticipated ninth studio album, “Deep Thoughts,” which is set to be released on October 18th via Alamo Records. The rapper has also released a new track and visual titled “Monitoring Me” to herald the LP.
“Monitoring Me” showcases classic Durk with bold and braggadocious bars over an 808-driven soundscape. Directed by Jerry Production, the accompanying visual matches the track’s high-octane energy as Durk takes over a gas station and performs from on top of a roof.
This release follows the recent success of “Turn Up A Notch,” which received widespread critical acclaim and foreshadows the style of the upcoming album. With a reputation for unmatched honesty, Durk is expected to deliver an epic project straight from the heart.
While the album was initially scheduled for release on October 18th with tracks like “Monitoring Me,” “Turn Up A Notch,” and “Late Checkout” featuring Hunxho, the pre-save page on Apple Music now shows a new release date of November 22, leading to speculation about a possible delay.
Lil Durk has not publicly confirmed the delay, but he has been actively engaging with fans, including previewing visual efforts and preparing for a performance at the United Center in celebration of his 32nd birthday.
